Kölsch is a German top-fermented beer brewed in and around Cologne. Golden in colour and averaging 4.8% alcohol, it has a slightly fruity flavour and low bitterness. (Source: Wikipedia)
From the very first sip, the grain flavours really stand out. A delicate balance of bitterness and sweetness coats the palate. There is also a soft bread crumb flavour and a very gentle bitterness. Subtle fruity notes of lychee and melon mingle with a hint of honey. The finish is fairly dry and immediately calls for another sip! A quintessential thirst-quencher!
