IPA is generally a golden to amber beer with a higher-than-average alcohol content of around 7%. It is strongly bitter because it is rich in hops. Initially used for their antiseptic properties, hops today are valued more for their aromatic qualities. (Source: Wikipedia)
IPA à la goyave brings out both the fruity and aromatic sides of hops. The beer is really well balanced, never too sweet despite the addition of guava. The bitterness is clearly present, and the hopping also gives it herbal and resinous flavours. A slight tartness adds to this IPA’s lovely complexity. It is very refreshing and really good!
