A beautiful mocha-coloured head of foam that fades quickly. A very dark brown, almost black color, worthy of a winter sky.
On the nose, aromas of dark chocolate, molasses and buckwheat. More subtly, scents of cooked raspberries and vanilla also develop.
The tartness of the raspberry is enveloped in a creamy dark chocolate taste. The coffee taste suddenly becomes subtle, like it’s been mixed into a brownie recipe. Raspberry is sweeter and even reminds me of the taste of cherry at times. The finish is long and brings beautiful earthy, woody and vanilla notes.
The texture is dense and the flavors are multiple but so well balanced. My only regret is having just one bottle… 😉
