Tasting notes

Blend refermented with Brettanomyces. A slightly tart profile supported by the fruity aromas of mango and hops. A blend of NEIPA 20, Solstice d’été Mangue and Moralité.

For some time now, I have been buying two bottles of each beer that will be tasted in order to better distribute the tasks required to publish it on my site. This method also allows me to validate my tasting notes and make corrections to my text, if necessary.

However, this way of doing things has also highlighted the workload necessary to communicate to you my impressions of a beer (tasting, taking notes, writing the text, taking photos, publication on my site and on social networks).

Make no mistake, I still want to share my passion for beer with you, but I have the impression that the desire to invest as much time in it as I did before is simply less present.

In this case, the process took so long that the taste of the beer ended up changing between the two times I tasted it. 😂 That’s fairly normal for a Brett-fermented beer that was lightly hopped to begin with. As the tasting experience is different, I decided to put my initial text as is. I must admit that I preferred it when it was a little “younger”.

Time warp… 😉

The beer has a nice head of foam that fades quite quickly. The color is a beautiful orange with yellowish tints which is very opaque.

On the nose, in addition to the wilder scents, tropical fruit aromas such as mango and papaya are prominent. You can also smell citrus fruits like lemon and orange.

On the palate, it’s super well balanced. We taste a lot of tropical fruits including mango with a little tangy side. In addition, the Brett yeasts bring a little earthy side which remains nuanced. It’s like a tropical fruit salad but with a complex and woody side.

We also taste the hops slightly, there is a little green side to the beer which is still very well balanced. Also, the texture on the palate is super pleasant, neither too watery nor too heavy.

The beer is very thirst-quenching and the finish is rather dry. It’s a magnificent beer to accompany the last days of summer and calmly prepare us for fall.

Since the mango puree settles at the bottom of the bottle, you can shake it lightly before drinking.
