This hazy, fruity and creamy IPA will remind you of those long summer days of childhood, enjoying mango creamsicles filled with vanilla ice cream.
I must admit that I am always a little attracted to colorful and suggestive designs, especially when it comes to treats! As soon as I saw this can, I put it in my cart without any hesitation.
Does the beer meet my expectations?
The nose is sweet and full of vanilla! Wow! It takes me back to smelling my little sister’s Strawberry Shortcake figurines as a child. By persisting a little more, it is still possible to smell the mango too. 😉
It’s quite impressive to see how accurately they managed to reproduce the flavor of a Creamsicle!
The sip starts with a sweet mango taste, morphs slightly into a tart taste and the vanilla hits us in full force at the end. It ends up as Mickey’s white birthday cake! It’s impressive, very sweet and at no time do you taste the 7.4% alcohol… Beyond this beer’s pronounced candy-like character, it’s still possible to taste the bitterness of the hops and even the flavors of gingerbread.
What you see is what you get! It certainly won’t please everyone but I must admit that it is not only very original but it actually brings back summer memories from my childhood. It deserves a good rating!
