The Castor brut IPA offers fruity flavors (exotic fruits) with a taste of citrus (clementines). This beer is less effervescent and certainly more flavorful than that of Monsregius. A bitter finish and malty cereal flavours (caramel) are more reminiscent of a classic IPA but definitely drier and with a lighter texture.
Simultaneous tasting – Houblon Brut /IPA Cuvée Extra-Brut
We have two different interpretations of a new style of beer. It’s difficult to choose my side but I have the impression that Monsregius comes closer to the philosophy behind the brut IPA. Two very good beers to try! Now it’s up to you to judge!
