Spontaneously fermented beer made on the pomace of an orange wine from Château de Cartes vineyard. Aromas of tropical fruit, grapes and oak are supported by a round, warming and slightly tannic texture.
Sometimes, if we ask too many questions, we risk becoming completely overwhelmed. Nothing better than a late evening tasting (or in the middle of the night, depending…) to unwind your mind and reconnect with happiness.
I’m going with a microbrewery that I love and with a beer that seems very promising to me.
The beer is orange with coppery hues, and bubbles race up the sides of the glass with extraordinary energy.
On the nose, we smell wood, spices and exotic fruits.
On the palate, the fruit flavours are prominent (oranges, grapes, lychees) and accompanied by a beautiful complexity of spices, wood and tannins. A slight acidity appears in balance with the other flavors and also reminds us of citrus fruits.
The finish is dry and the beer certainly does not reflect its alcohol content. With an almost watery texture, the many flavors slip across the tongue while leaving a strong impression.
Clearly here, the bouquet of spices attracts attention. Never too pronounced and always tasty. A balanced and complex beer that drinks wonderfully.
