An epic Scotch ale brewed with honey and kveik.
Beer with a dark brown color and subtle reddish highlights. Opaque like an autumn evening, it is topped with a beautiful, generous head of foam which fades gently.
On the nose, it smells of candied fruits, dates and honey.
On the palate, the texture is round and silky with a slight effervescence which tickles the tongue at the end of the sip. The alcohol does not make its presence felt too much despite its high level of 10%.
The honeyed and barley sugar flavors are intertwined with a taste of candied orange and enhanced with floral notes. Without falling into exuberance, this beer definitely has a propensity for sweet delights. Do you prefer crème brulée, fruit cake or date square? As I sip, I discover so many little pleasures that comfort me.
The finish turns light and airy and interweaves candied fruits and a drizzle of caramel.
Exquisite from start to finish.
