La corne de bois

La Corne de brume and the Corps mort are two beers from À l’abri de la Tempête which completely seduced me several years ago. Today, I am doing a simultaneous tasting of La Corne de brume and its little sister, La Corne de bois.

La Corne de bois

Definitely softer, sweeter and more velvety than its big sister. The cherry flavour is prominent and perfectly complements the taste of brownies. Between the spicy, woody flavors and the notes of mocha coffee, the vanilla comes through. The yeast character is much less expressive, as though the banana notes have stepped back a little…

 

Simultaneous tasting – La Corne de brume / La Corne de bois

Both beers are frankly excellent! The differences between the two versions are enough to buy both and have just as much fun! ❤️
