A blend of three batches of Jet Set—aged for 5, 16 and 24 months respectively—and PS Tendresse aged for 3 months.
Light, balanced acidity; herbal, spicy and funky.
Contains verbena and grapefruit.
On the nose, a scent of lemon, herbs, spices and cereals. Everything is enhanced with wilder aromas like leather or hay.
The color is a beautiful sunny orange!
The first sip takes me straight to summer despite the persistent cold of our spring! How good! The acidity hits us first but it is only the first level of this complex and superbly balanced beer which reveals itself over sips.
Citrus flavors (lemon, orange, grapefruit) transport us between tangy and bitter. Despite aging, the cereal side of the Jet Set is still present even if it is more camouflaged. It’s always a good idea to start with a good beer before aging it. 😉
Moreover, as part of this tasting, I also opened a Jet Set simply to compare the two products. However, I won’t dwell further on the Jet Set this time.
Let’s return to our illumination today… The herbaceous side is so pleasant and brings a beautiful depth. As for the texture, it is sparkling as can be and the bubbles burst with flavors, both woody and fruity, also reminiscent of sour peach.
The finish is dry but we are left with an amalgamation of funky notes on the palate! Very refreshing!
What an inspired creation, Avant-Garde! One word: Sublime!
